   Hello Admin,

   First of all let me thank you for providing knowledgeable information on this website, which is helping lot of people for opting a good and reliable Inverter and Battery.
   I have got a small query, i am planning to purchase 850 VA, and 150AH Battery. Firstly i am confused to opt which brand, my budget is Max Rs.16000/-. secondly, as i stay in Hyderabad we have 3 to 4 hours of power cut in summer i.e., for 3 to 4 Months in a year. rest of the time we dont have any power cuts. so my question is during non usage of inverter and battries will effect its performance.

     For 3 to 4 hours power cut, we recommend

     Microtek UPS SEBz 850 va Pure sine wave inverter which would cost exactly Rs.5000/-

     and

     Exide Invertor Plus Model Semi tubular 135 ah or 150 ah battery. (135ah Exide invertor Plus would cost Rs.10,000 t0 10500)

     Exide Invertor Plus model 135 ah and 150 ah has 2 years full replacement warranty. Taking the limited power cut situations in your area in account, we expect 4 years life for the same model.

     It’s unnecessary to go for expensive tubular model batteries, as you face only very little power outage per year.

     What happens to my lead acid battery connected to inverter, if i don’t experience any power cuts for several months?

     Actually your battery’s life expectancy will goes up, when you don’t use it. Battery’s life is based on its number of charging Cycles, So, if you keep the battery in float charge for long time, it won’t affect it. Though we recommend you to switch off your mains manually at-least once per month and use your inverter in battery mode for 4 or 5 hours and switch your mains back on, for the sake of your battery health 🙂

   Thanks Admin,

   The power cut in my area is in intervals that is 2 hours in morning and 2 hours in the evening. so will it be fine, if i go with above specification (To Run 4 Tube & 4 fan). Also will there be any service problem as i am going with two different brands.

   Also if possible can you provide the dealer address in Hyderabad where i can get it for best price.

     No problem, you can go with what i have recommended in my previous comment. There will be no conflicts in choosing two different brands and be confident about warranty claim. After all we are choosing best brands to configure our Home UPS system. Go with it!

   3) Digipower (Microtek Group) 150AH Tubular-Rs. 9000/-
   4) Digipower (Microtek Group) 160AH Tubular-Rs. 9500/-
   5) Digipower 150AH Tall Tubular-Rs. 11,500/-
   6) Exide Batteries 150AH Starting from Rs.11,500/-
   Tubular going up to 16,000/-

   Please Suggest me,

   I am from Bangalore, received quote for Exide IT500 tubular battery for RS.13,500/- incl. taxes after exchanging my old semi-tubular SF-135AH battery.
   Please let me know if the pricing is correct / acceptable

     Dear Rajesh,
     Old battery rebate price for your 135 ah battery is Rs.1750

     So, the dealer is offering IT500 for Rs.13500+1750 = Rs.15250/-

     IT500 for Rs.15250/- in Bangalore?? It is overpriced!

     Price of IT500 should be between- Rs.13500 to 14500/-

     bargain and try to get best price.

       The Price 13,500/- (inclusive of taxes 14.5%) is in total I have to pay (after exchange).
       The old battery price is 1500/-

       I checked with 3 dealers, all are quoting almost the same offer

   Your site is most helpful when it comes to choosing battery setups. Thank You.
   I wish to setup a 4 battery (48V) setup. I am told numeric digital hph hr 3000 is better product. Price was quoted at 18000/-. Microtek 3kva/48v was quoted at Rs 14500/-. Is numeric product good enough to ask for nearly 5000/- premium? Is the numeric product quoted at right price?
   For the batteries, I choose Exide IT 500 150AH batteries. Price was quoted at 15000/- per battery. Is it overpriced?
   All prices are for bangalore.

   warranty for transformer: 7 years

   warranty on other components – 2 years
