Exide Tube Master, One more affordable tall tubular battery model from battery manufacturing giant Exide has been recently unveiled.
Nowadays people are more aware about benefits of buying branded batteries for their UPS/inverter systems.
Few years ago, consumers have no many choices when choosing branded tall tubular batteries. But now the trend has been changing slowly because of Exide’s launch of low cost tall tubular battery models.
Price Comparison of Exide Tube Master with Exide IT500 and Exide Inva Master Tall tubular battery models
Exide’s IT500 Tall tubular 150 ah battery continues to be the no.1 tall tubular battery in the market with its exceptional performance, durability and longevity.
But the price point of Exide IT500 is something hard to digest for middle class people.
Exide IT500 costs around Rs.14500 to 15500/-, which is not affordable for so many middle class Indian Families.

But they still want to go for a battery from a premium manufacturer like Exide. For such people who want to stick with Exide and want to buy some low cost tall tubular battery, Exide has announced ‘Exide Inva Master’ model in different variants to suit the requirement of different people.
Price Point of Exide Inva Master IM10000 Tall tubular 150 ah battery gives a heavy competition to other low cost battery manufactures in the market.
Exide Inva Master IM10000 Tall tubular 150 ah battery costs around Rs.11,000 to 12500/-
———————————————————————–
Exide Tube Master, newly launched 150 ah tall tubular battery model costs only Rs.9500 to 10,500/-
From the end user’s point of view, it is definitely a good deal. Even some non-tubular battery models from Exide itself costs much more than Exide Tube Master Battery.

Points to remember before buying Exide Tube Master TM500
We have seen the positive side of buying Exide Tube master; now let us see the down side of Exide Tube Master Tall tubular battery model.
# Exide Tube master has 36 months warranty
# But this 36 months is divided in to 18 + 18 months warranty
# The first 18 months is the original warranty period, which is called replacement warranty. If your battery fails under the first 18 months period, you could get a new battery as replacement.
We have given you a battery warranty chart below to understand the difference between warranty of Exide IT500, Exide Inva Master and Exide Tube master batteries.
It is evident that Exide Tube master has short warranty compared to other premium or standard tubular battery models from Exide.
No need to panic!
Exide batteries won’t fail in short period of time. We can expect the same performance of Exide Inva Master Battery from Exide Tube Master TM500.

Hi first of all great website with info,
I want to buy Inverter and battery. I have found the load requirement would be around 850 VA. I have only 14″ vertical space to keep the battery. I saw in your post recommending SEBz over SWE2 but that was old suggestion still it hold true.
One fellow suggested me Exide Tubular -Inva
Smart 150.
Please suggest exact combination of Exide and Microtek
Planning to run Grinder,LED TV (40″), 3 Tube and 3 Fans
Thanks
Dear Hemant,
You can operate your Kitchen Mixie with Inverter above
850VA.
It is not recommended to use wet grinder with normal home inverter.
Otherwise, for your load preference we would like to recommend
Sukam shiny 850 VA Pure sine wave – Rs.4000/- Online price
+
*Exide Inva Master IM10000* Tall tubular Battery 150 AH (*30 months* replacement warranty)- *Rs.11000 to 12,500 *
Or
*Exide Tube Master* TM500 Tall tubular (18 months replacement warranty) – Rs.9500 to 10,500

Sukam shiny has 7 years warranty on transformer, and 2 years on other components, we recommend sukam shiny for it’s good performance and lowest price challenge in this segment.
It is available for Rs.4000 online and Rs.4500 at dealers outlet.
Check the price here https://upsinverterinfo.com/recommends/sukam-shiny-850va-pure-sinewave-inverter
Thanks for quick update. I will drop running grinder on inverter.
But I cannot have tall tubular battery. vertical space is 14″ only. Is Inva Smart 150AH correct for this. and what abt difference between
SEBz and SWE2 Microtek inverters?
Exide Inva Master short tubular also available in market.
If you can’t find any dealer for that model then you can go for inva smart.

Hi – I am from Delhi, where over the period relatively electricity situation have improved. I need a replacement 150 Ah battery, can you suggest do i need to go with higher cost IT 500 or Invamaster or would Tubemaster suffice.
Also my existing trolley wouldn’t be able to accommodate Tall type batteries, but if need be will upgrade that as well
And third q – whats the relevance of Tall batteries. is the industry changing to tall for style or is there any scientific reason to choose that
Hi Shreysa chopra,
If the power cut scenario is not so severe in your location, then we would recommend
Exide Tube Master Tall 150 Ah Battery – Rs.10,000 to 10,500
and
Exide Inva Master Tall 150 Ah battery – Rs. 13000
Thx for prompt reply but queries still persist
1) Can i take Exide
Inva Master short tubular as my trolley would not accommodate tall type. OR would you recommend only Tall Tubular?
2) whats the craze around Tall Tubular. As in whats the benefit
Dear Shreshya chopra,
You can go for short tubular inva master which is equally good as
tall tubular.
Tall tubular batteries have some extra volume of acid which eliminates the need for frequent distilled water toppings . Easy to fit into narrow spaces.
Hi, I am from Hyderabad. I bought a TM500 battery for my home invertor on 5.10.2016 when i was in Gurgaon. It was not usable since February 2018 due to some technical fault inside the battery. Since we could not call to the customer care and take it for the service team due to some unfortunate situation happened at home, the little delay happened. its all act of God. I raised the complaint to the nearby Exide show room and the service guy took the battery on 21.04.2018. Could i claim for replacement warranty if possible now. What is the procedure for replacement..
Hi Admin
In my location power failure happens once or twice in day for not more than 30 minutes. I’m looking for UPS backup to tackle this situation. Backup is required for 30 mins to 1hr which is sufficient (2 Computer+2monitor + 2 LED tubelight + 2 Fans). Long power failures are planned and i don’t need backup in those situation. I already have Luminous Zolt 1100. Can you suggest suitable battery and price of the same in pondicherry.
Exide InstaBrite (IB1000)
