As we already said in our previous article, Exide InvaGo 150 ah tubular battery could be considered as an alternative to the Famous model Exide IT500, Here we come with a comparison table to make it easy to know the difference.
Exide IT500 (150ah) | Exide INVA GO (150ah) | |
Battery Type | Tubular | Tubular |
Height | 430mm | 400mm |
Electrolyte Acid Volume | 23.80 Litres | 23.80 Litres |
Battery Weight | 60.05 KG | 58.70 KG |
Battery Cycle Life @ 80% depth of discharge | 800 to 1000 cyles | 800 to 1000 cycles |
Warranty | 36 Months free replacement + 12 months Prorate | 36 Months free replacement + 12 months Prorate |
Acid Volume | 30 % Extra (Low Maintenance) | 30 % Extra (Low Maintenance) |
Trolley Type design with caster wheels at bottom | NO | YES |
Battery Cycle Life
No. of charge cycles decides the battery life apparently, from the above comparison chart it is evident that both Exide IT500 and Exide InvaGo batteries have the same numbers, which means 800 to 1000 cycles @ 80% depth of discharge.
Acid Volume
Both batteries are provided with 30% extra electrolyte which minimizes the frequency of water toppings. Low maintenance assured.
Warranty
Both Exide InvaGo and IT500 have the same 36+12 months warranty.
Though it is advertised as 48 months warranty, only the first 36 months warranty is free replacement warranty, the extra 12 months warranty is prorate warranty which is not so useful in terms of premature battery failure.
The vendor will offer you some discount on your new battery purchase if your battery fails during prorate warranty period.
Conclusion
It is evident that Exide InvaGo saves some money on new inverter trolley purchase; the specification also shows some resemblance between two batteries.
Exide IT500 has more credibility and reliability compared to Exide InvaGo.
Exide InvaGo is yet to prove its long term performance, fingers crossed!

Dear Mohammed Shabbir,
First you should calculate your total load and power requirement. without knowing your power requirement we could not blindly suggest you 2 kva inverter.
One more advice, when connecting old and new batteries together, you must use battery balance kit. So that your batteries will hold full charge and last long.
ok thank you for your precious time
things i need to run is
4 pc
1 laptop
6 tubelights
and 2 blower guns

pls suggest
Dear Mohammed shabbir,
4PC – 800 watts (approx)
1 laptop – 65 watts
6 tube lights – 240 watts
2 Hot air guns – 540 watts
————————————————————
Total power consumption – 1645 watts
————————————————————-
2 KVA or 2.5 KVA Pure sine wave inverter will be sufficient for your load preference.
You can go with emric UPS as suggested by your dealer, price also seems reasonable.
Use sukam battery balancing kit when connecting old and new batteries.

Dear sanjay,
Exide IT500 (150ah tall tubular battery) – Rs.14000/-
Exide 850 va Inverter – Rs.5000/-
Installation – Rs.500/-
Good deal!
—————————————————————
Not all batteries could handle high charge mode, but IT500 can handle the high current flawlessly.
With high charge mode, you could get some extra backup.
If you have no prolonged power shedding, better to switch your inverter to normal charging mode.
Normal charging mode will enhance your battery life. No water loss.
Dear Kart Tech,
Please make your query short and precise, so that we could answer quickly as possible. sorry for the inconvenience caused. 🙁
Where did you buy ? seems like a good deal.My local Exide dealer quoted a price of Rs. 22,000/- for the same specification as yours. Kindly let me know the dealer contact details and location.
Hi,
I have a Su-Kam Falcon 800 VA, 12 V inverter.
I have to get a new battery for this inverter. I have decided on 150 Ah battery.
Few options thgat I have explored:
(1) Exide IN1500 Plus – Rs 10600
(2) Exide CP150IN – Rs 9100
(3) Exide IS1500 – Rs 12300
(4) Luminous 150AH – Rs 8000-8500
Can you pls suggest me which one I should choose ?
Also why Luminous battery is cheaper than Exide ?
Thanks
Anil
