Do we need Stabilizers for Home Inverters? How to solve Low Voltage?

Actually, we don’t need stabilizers for Home inverters unless you face extreme high voltage or low voltage problem frequently.

Home inverters have inbuilt safety setup like high voltage tripper and additional fuse to safeguard the internal components from lightning attack or accidental double voltage from grid.

A home inverter will not function like a stabilizer, but it cut-off the grid power supply during high or low voltage situation and by-pass grid power with battery power.

In case of Extreme High Voltage, will a normal inverter function well?

If you face high voltage problem – Voltage frequently goes above 300 volt, then you will need a voltage stabilizer for Home inverter. Stabilizer will bring the voltage down below 280 or 260 in which a Home inverter will operate flawlessly without any auto high voltage cut-off.

What if we face Low voltage problem?

In case your current voltage from grid is like 150v to 160v frequently, you need to install a ‘double booster stabilizer’ before your Home inverter.

Without this stabilizer you will not be able to charge your battery with grid power.

Your inverter will go to low voltage auto cut-off mode and draw power from battery without your attention. If this happens often, you battery life will be reduced significantly.

A double booster stabilizer would boost up to 80 v. Stabilizer working Range will be 130v to 270v.

Those who experience extreme low voltage problem like 100v – 140 should install a ‘Triple booster stabilizer’ for their Home inverter.

We recommend V-guard 2kva double boost stabilizer for basic home inverters like 600va, 850 va and 1500 va .

Price

Price of 2kva branded double booster stabilizers would cost around Rs.4500/-
